General Questions/New to Joomla! 4.x • Re: Joomla inaccessible

Hi Toivo,

That’s exactly my argument to the hosting co. When we started with them they were excellent, but they’ve been absorbed (at least twice I think) by larger hosting groups (part of “team.blue” I believe) and they just don’t seem to want to help (possibly because they don’t have the skills to do so?)

The point I keep trying to make is:
1. The site has worked for years without issue
2. Whilst we have updated joomla versions/php over time, NOTHING was touched in the last couple of months
3. The brochure site has no direct external interaction (no logins, posting, etc)
4. All of a sudden the sites stop working (not at the same time, but during uk office hours, and within the same week.

That seemed to me like a strong case that there has been some environmental change.

They just blame joomla/and or the database.

So it seems I need to diagnose the issue myself, even if just to be able to prove to the hosting co what they have done to cripple our sites. My immediate need is to get the sites back up and running so I can plan a migration to a new hosting co.

FPA shows the DB connectivity is ok, so I’m wondering if there’s a way to run joomla in a sort of “safe mode” or verbose logging, so I can at least start to narrow down the issue?

Thanks again for the reply,
Oliver
