I believe I've already answered your question (see my earlier reply), excerpt below:

• The third-party services may provide a code snippet for the sign-up form; copy and paste their code into a Joomla custom module, and place that module wherever you want it on your site. (The code may also facilitate subscription management such as modifying email or cancelling subscription)
• External services like Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor could be used which have 'bridging' extensions in Joomla.

I don't use newsletter systems so can't give you a recommendation on which one to use.
