I have no mobile phone available to test currently but reducing the browser window to approximate a mobile shows the header image acceptably. I will test it on a real mobile tonight.
I expect you would control that image size with CSS @media statements, which specify the way an element is displayed, such as images on certain devices (or screen resolutions).
